This elegant and welcoming establishment with a serene hidden patio is celebrating it’s 6th anniversary. It’s truly a labor of love for gracious husband & wife owners, Florent and Amelia Marneau. It’s a modern French bistro serving market-inspired ingredients artfully prepared using classic French cooking techniques.
Florent is the highly acclaimed chef who previously opened the landmark, fine-dining Pinot Provence in Costa Mesa for star chef Joachim Splichal (Patina in Los Angeles.) This was Joachim’s first restaurant in Orange County. At Marche you’ll see Chef Florent right there on the line working the wood-fired oven!
Amelia is one of the OC’s most accomplished pastry chefs and now also oversees the smooth-running, front-of-the-house at Marche Moderne.
A great way to experience the restaurant is the 3-course Spontane Menu at lunch. It changes daily and is only $25.00. That’s a bargain…
Marche Moderne features inspired special menus throughout the year. Be watching for the incredible Summer Bouillabaisse Nights.
The very direct new restaurant critic at the Orange County Register called Marche Modern “the best French bistro in California. Period” in his recent rave review.
