“The Lido Theater, Newport Beach’s recently restored Art Deco movie landmark, has released its March 2025 film lineup, presenting a specially curated selection of classic comedies, Hollywood icons, sports favorites and more. Each week introduces a new theme, inviting audiences to rediscover beloved films in the grandeur of one of Southern California’s most historic movie theaters.” The upscale concession menu at The Lido is deliciously crafted by Chef Shelly Register of A Market.

“The Airliner is a historic, 100-year old, Lincoln Heights (Los Angeles) neighborhood bar that exudes warmth, character and hospitality. Whether you’re into beer and shots, sultry natural wines, or classic to modern cocktails, there’s something for everyone – with an intriguing Pan-Asian Izakaya comfort food menu created by fine-dining chef Vinh Nguyen (ex-Grumpy Pig in Shanghai) and nostalgic soundtracks.”

A design highlight is the impressive, restored and distinctive curved wooden bar running the length of the space. The interior is reminiscent of an art deco cruise ship

Menu highlights include Chong Qing Chicken Wings with whole crisp fried wings, chili oil and crispy bits, and Beef Rendang on a Roll with Indonesian stewed beef, cabbage and pickled red onions.

Chef Vinh Nguyen joins us with a plate of Hunan BBQ Pork Ribs.

At times, I look back and can’t believe it’s been nearly a decade. It feels like we just opened yesterday!”, says consummate host and co-owner of Providence, Donato Poto. In honor of this auspicious occasion, Providence is providing some incentive for you to celebrate along with us. Beginning on our May 28th reopening, we are offering our four-course tasting menu for $80 a person, during the entire month of June. The Los Angeles Times‘ restaurant critic, Jonathan Gold, recently ranked Providence as the Number One Restaurant in the annual Jonathan Gold’s 101 Best Restaurants 2014. This is an encore from the same position in 2013.

Providence was closed last month for about two weeks for a freshening of the dining rooms. It’s got a new art deco look. The patio located off the main dining room was enclosed.
