Chef Jet’s been on the go so we’re going to slow him down for a few minutes to chat about some of his recent dining experiences including brunch at Bouchon Beverly Hills and a celebratory meal at the renovated Spago Beverly Hills, the flagship restaurant of the Wolfgang Puck fine-dining empire.

We’ll also answer some e-mail inquiries.

David Walker of Firestone Walker Brewing CompanyFirestone-Walker Brewing Co. was one of the early leaders in the craft beer movement when they introduced their signature Double Barrel Ale in 1996. They had this wild idea about fermenting their beer in 60-gallon oak barrels. Pale ales are the name of their game.

Co-Founder David Walker will be with us to tell their unusual story. He’ll also be taking about a Father’s Day event they are hosting in Downtown L.A. from 11:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. in association with Food GPS. It’s a Father’s Day Collabrewtive Brunch. Coffee-flavored beers will be on the menu specially created for the event by the brewmasters working with master coffee roasters.

Adam Fleischman of Umami Restaurant GroupIf you follow the restaurant business in Southern California then the name of restaurant impresario Adam Fleischman should be familiar. He created the Umami Burger concept which is a leader in the “better burger” trend rapidly expanding across the country. All of his restaurants are a bit different in terms of design and décor. They just opened in Miami Beach.

The burger concept was so successful that SBE bought in to provide some of the needed financial resources to expand. SBE is the high-profile hotel, restaurant, and nightclub  group who are probably best known locally for bringing Chef Jose Andres to Los Angeles and his hugely successful restaurant, Bazaar by Jose Andres located at SLS Beverly Hills (an SBE property.)

Fleischman remains on the move. He’s also responsible for Umamicatessan in Downtown L.A., 800 Degrees in Westwood, and L.A. Creamery ice cream. He’s also the money behind Red Medicine in Beverly Hills.

Brock Radke of Las Vegas WeeklyWe’ve long overdue for an objective report on what’s new on the Las Vegas restaurant scene. The celebrity chef created gourmet burger trend is burgeoning and there is a fancy new Mexican restaurant in Downtown from a well-know restaurant family. Our Las Vegas insider, Brock Radke, is back with us to give us the insider 411. Brock is the seasoned Food & Web Editor for Las Vegas Weekly.

Roxanne Jullapat of Cooks County RestaurantWhen you think of the popular Cooks County restaurant on Beverly Blvd. in Los Angeles dessert reigns supreme. That’s no accident because pastry chef Roxana Jullapat is the co-owner. She previously worked at high end restaurants around town known for scrumptious desserts including Lucques, AOC, and Campanile.

She loves using fruits of the season in her sweet creations. Think Apricot Cream Pie with apricot caramel and apricot ice cream for starters…

Chef Roxana has organized the 1st Annual “Bakers Will Bake” Charity Bake Sale set for Sunday, June 9th at the Hollywood Farmers Market. It benefits the Edible Schoolyard project. Great pastry chefs from around town will be offering take-home portions of their fabulous creations. It’s a WOW…
